Don’t be shy about defending programs who provide help

Too many of our fellow Americans are on the edge and hurting. We shouldn’t be shy about defending programs and policies that provide hope and help for those who need it most. I am against compromise that results in leaving people behind.

Elimination of Brownfield a one-two punch for MI cities

Beyond the massive state revenue sharing cuts, the Governor’s most damaging proposal for Michigan’s cities is the elimination of Brownfield and other tax credits that incentive’s redevelopment of urban centers. This one-two punch is a deadly prescription that will stunt growth and hobble our cities and state.

The map of Detroit redevelopment would look very different today had Gov. Rick Snyder’s proposal to eliminate brownfield and other tax credits become a reality several years ago.

Republican agenda: Power to the corporations

Republican agenda: Power to the corporations. Divide and conquer the “little people” and keep them in a subservient position, kinda like it is overseas, in the emerging markets they love so much. Unions give regular folks a voice, so who needs them?
